Martha’s Table believes every Washingtonian deserves the opportunity to thrive. Since 1980, Martha’s Table has been committed to advancing a more equitable D.C., operating nationally accredited education programs, pairing healthy food access with physical and mental health services, and promoting family success by investing in family leaders.
When Martha’s Table announced the retirement of its CEO Patty Stonesifer, we worked closely with the Martha’s Table team and reporters to tell the story not just of her retirement, but of the impact that the organization has had on its local community. Then, when five years later, the organization announced another CEO transition, we supported the effective onboarding of Tiffany Williams. Developing talking points, press releases and letters to promote trust and understanding among audiences and pitching the announcement to media, we secured top-tier coverage for both transitions that closely aligns with our messaging, including in The Washington Post and The Washington Business Journal – twice. Since the second announcement, we’ve become a close advisor to Tiffany Williams, providing ad hoc support with communications strategy, message development, speaking engagement preparation and materials development.
